Taylor-Downing-Oxford Courts Nearing Completion
A new multi-family residential community is taking shape in west Fondren.
Taylor Court, Downing Court and Oxford Court is anticipating a May 2016 completion date if weather cooperates this spring.
Mississippi Home Corporation, the organization who awarded Housing Tax Credits to developer Bob King’s Triangle Development to help fund the project, says one portion, Taylor Court, is complete and fully leased. Build out on Oxford Court and Downing Court should be complete by the end of April.
Oxford Court has received applications for all of the units and a portion of those have been leased but applications for both Oxford and Downing Court are still being accepted. Interested tenants can apply through LEDIC Management by emailing lauren.jones@ledic.com or calling 769-233-8180.
Move-ins are complete for most of Taylor Court while Oxford Court and Downing Court should see move-ins around the end of April through May.
Ground was broken in February 2015 on the $18.5 million project under the Mississippi Governor’s Health Care Zone initiative, a program aimed at job creation and the building of affordable housing in proximity to health centers like that in Fondren.
A reminder that Taylor Street is impassable between State and West and Lorenz Boulevard is intermittently closed between State and West while construction is underway.
