Fondren Renaissance Foundation is raising a glass to a new event in May.
The non-profit “parent” organization of Jackson’s Fondren neighborhood will host the Mississippi Craft Beer Festival. Offering over 100 craft beers from Capital City Beverage and Southern Beverage, the first-ever fest is set for 5:30pm – 9:30pm at Duling Hall on June 26. Tickets at fondren.org.
Another event, Arts, Eats & Beats, will celebrate 15 years on Thursday, May 21, with a return to the event’s roots. FRF says Arts, Eats & Beats will focus on galleries and specialty shops, showcasing art openings with paired samplings from neighborhood restaurants and live music in each location. The night will also include an opening reception at The Cedars for a show featuring Tammy Cook, Cleta Ellington, Dyann Gunter and Pickenpaugh Pottery.
