Five Years, Five Cars, the Generosity of Patty Peck

2015 Honda Civic LX Coupe
When Fondren’s Zippity Doo Dah® Weekend began five years ago, the fundraising event, presented by Fondren Renaissance for Friends of Children’s Hospital, counted on Patty Peck Honda as a sponsor.
What it didn’t count on was that, five years later, the Ridgeland car dealer would still be “all-in,” announcing this week their fifth donation of a brand new vehicle in as many years.
“Patty Peck Honda has a long history of giving back to the community,” says Donna Ransdell, the dealership’s digital marketing manager. “Five years ago, when Jill Conner Browne asked if we would be a sponsor, we could only say yes.”
And they’re still saying yes, this time around giving a 2015 Honda Civic LX Coupe away on March 28 at 6pm, just prior to the BancorpSouth Zippity Doo Dah® Parade.
The ticket price has been reduced this year to $10 and the reason is a simple one. “Lowering the price of the raffle tickets makes it possible for more to participate,” Ransdell says.
As in years past, multiple key winners will be drawn by iHeart Media stations Miss 103, Z106 and 105.1 The River on preceding Fridays leading up to ZDD Weekend. The earlier you buy, the more chances, then, you will have to win.
Cynthia Williams, Mary Ann Albin, Judy Deleat and Phillip Hollman have each won cars in the past four years and, for Patty Peck, it only gets better. Ransdell says, “Watching the weekend grow every year and the money raised for the Children’s Hospital increase, too, is just incredible.”
Purchase tickets at FOCH.org. All proceeds benefit Friends of Children’s Hospital and the patients and families of Batson Children’s Hospital.
