Keep Jackson Beautiful offers a double dose of  honor to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with cleanup days at Greenwood Cemetery. The effort is part of MLK Day of Service, which encourages good works in the community with the motto, ” A day on, not a day off.”

Participants have two opportunities – on Saturday, January 18 and Monday, January 20, both from 9-11:30am – to pick up trash and limbs, prune shrubs and roses, plant bulbs or assist with monument repair. Skilled and unskilled volunteers are needed.

Bring a picnic lunch and any tools or gloves you may have and join the effort at the cemetery entrance at George and West Streets (behind Wright and Ferguson Funeral home) in downtown Jackson.
