St. Catherine’s Village, a free-standing, not-for-profit, all inclusive Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Madison run by St. Dominic Hospital, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Thursday, October 17 at 10 a.m.

The public celebration will express our gratitude to the residents, families, leadership, board members and community friends who have all contributed to St. Catherine’s success. The celebration will be held in the St. Catherine’s Village Commons Activity Room located at 200 Dominican Drive in Madison.

The Dominican Sisters, who have owned and operated St. Dominic Hospital since 1946, extended their healing ministry to the special needs of older adults with the creation of St. Catherine’s Village in 1988.

The Village offers a retirement lifestyle to people at least 62 years of age, of all faiths and races, who make independence, activity and peace of mind a priority in their lives.

St. Catherine’s offers active independent living through garden homes and apartments as well as a full continuum of long-term health care options including assisted living apartments, a residential Alzheimer’s facility known as Campbell Cove and the Siena Center, a 24-hour nursing center.

St. Catherine’s is the first retirement community in Mississippi to earn accreditation by the CARF-CCAC. This “Committed to Excellence” seal signifies the Village exceeds the standards of excellence as established by the nation’s only accrediting body for continuing care retirement communities. The continuum of care focuses on health and wellness, yet if residents’ health needs change, temporary or long-term care can be provided in the appropriate health center unit within St. Catherine’s Village.
