Darren Schwindaman and Melia Dicker introduce Jackson to co-working.

Darren:
Co-working is a shared office concept for professionals to benefit from a space to have collaboration and a space to work and feel professional. Our target is someone who has graduated from the coffee shop. Co-working gives them a place to meet clients, ask for higher level projects and reap the benefit of going to a dedicated work space.

Melia:
Economically, it’s not feasible for some to pay for their own large office space. Here, you have WiFi, a dedicated work space and a sense of community. Freelancing can be lonely. It’s nice to have a place where you can exchange ideas and resources.

Darren:
We’re talking with a couple of professional design and writing groups who are yearning for a communal space to network and brainstorm. We want this to be the space where they can do that.

Melia:
With high ceilings and lots of light, there’s something about this space that inspires. We want that to be available to a lot of people.

Darren:
We hope this raises the level of creativity and professionalism in city. There are many creative pros that work independently. We want to create community. Now that we are into our careers, we hope to help and inspire others in Jackson.
