Where It All Began: The Guide!
With the success of FindItInFondren.com, it’s easy to overlook where this whole thing started. The Find It In Fondrenâ„¢ Visitor’s Guide was published in October and has been distributed to 15,000 homes via direct mail. An additional 5,000 copies have made their way from Southaven to Brookhaven and points in between. And just last night, we heard a wonderful story of the 85 year old granddaughter of the original Fondren, David Fondren, who stopped by the Fondren Renaissance office, and picked up fifteen copies to mail to family! We’re flattered, and beyond thrilled that the guide has been such a success.
Beginning in January, we will be on the hunt for exciting new people to profile, businesses to highlight, and events to cover. What makes Fondren Fondren? We need your help answering this question. As always, we will feature a dining and shopping guide, an events calendar, and articles that highlight who we are as a neighborhood and community. Advertising opportunities will again be available, and we will welcome your submissions. In the current issue, great articles came from Langston Moore, Eddie Prosser, Craig Escude, Laura Blackwell, and many others. Will you be the next contributor?
Again, thank you, and continue to log on here every day for all that Fondren has to offer. We work tirelessly to keep you informed. And be on the lookout for the spring guide, coming mid March!
